Aresion ("the app") is a personal fitness tracking app developed by Fedi Hamdi. Your personal fitness data is stored on your device. We do not run our own servers and we do not collect or sell your personal data. The app uses your device location only to fetch live weather data from a public API — your coordinates are never stored or shared. The app uses Firebase Analytics for anonymous usage statistics. The app does not send the data you enter to any AI service — the optional AI plan builder simply prepares a prompt that you choose to copy into a third-party AI assistant yourself — see the sections below.
The following data is saved locally on your device only and is never transmitted to the developer or any third party:
Camera and photo library access is used solely to take progress photos and attach photos to tracker entries. Photos are stored locally and never uploaded to any server.
Android Auto Backup is disabled. Your data is not automatically backed up to Google or any cloud service. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all data unless you have manually created a backup using the in-app backup feature.
The app sends local reminders (workout, meal, water, and custom tracker reminders). These are generated on your device and do not involve external servers.
The app can use your device's location for two optional features. (1) Live weather: your approximate GPS coordinates are sent to the Open-Meteo weather API (open-meteo.com) to retrieve current weather data. (2) Country auto-detection in the AI Plan Generator: if you have not already set a country, your approximate coordinates are sent to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service (nominatim.openstreetmap.org) to look up the matching country name, used to suggest locally available foods — you can set the country manually instead. Both are public APIs requiring no account or API key. Your location is never stored in the app's database and never shared with advertisers. If you deny the permission, the weather card will not appear and country auto-detection will not run. You can revoke it at any time in device Settings.
The app uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics (screens opened, features used, crash reports, device model — all anonymized). Your personal fitness data is never collected. Firebase data is processed by Google under their privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
The app can help you create personalised workout plans, meal plans, shopping lists, and batch-prep guides with the help of an AI assistant. It does this by building a text prompt on your device from the inputs you provide — fitness goals, experience level, available equipment, dietary preferences, basic stats (age, sex, height, weight), and any free-text notes.
The app itself does not send this prompt or any of your data to Google Gemini or any other AI service. Instead, you copy the prompt and paste it into a third-party AI assistant of your choice (such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or Claude). Anything you submit there is handled by that provider under their own privacy policy and terms — not by Aresion. You then paste the assistant's response back into the app, where it is parsed locally on your device.
Because you choose which assistant to use, please review that provider's privacy policy and avoid pasting sensitive personal information you would not want shared with them. One-tap AI generation directly inside the app is planned for a future update; if and when it ships, this policy will be updated. To confirm requests to our backend services come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the app, the app uses Firebase App Check with the Google Play Integrity API. This check is performed by Google Play services and does not transmit your personal fitness data — it only verifies app and device integrity. The optional Pro subscription is processed entirely through Google Play. Payment information is handled by Google — we never see or store your payment details.
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we never share it with advertisers — there are no advertising SDKs in this app. Apart from the third-party services listed here, your data is not shared:
